It is tempting to run at all four simultaneously. In my experience, that approach produces modest improvement across everything and breakthrough improvement in nothing. The business that closes its worst leak first — completely, structurally, permanently — gains more ground in 90 days than one that patches all four simultaneously gains in a year.
